Paragon’s Software Products and Services is focused on developing sophisticated software technology-based products that enable utilities to design, implement, track and manage demand-side management (DSM), energy efficiency (EE) and renewable energy (RE) programs. Paragon’s software products and services enable utility customers to use customized software applications with no additional impact on their internal IT systems to reduce overall costs, launch programs faster, improve management visibility and increase program effectiveness. The key components of the product offering were developed to meet the project design, management and tracking needs of utility customers.

Our key strength is that we are mainly a utility industry company that is offering leading edge technology-based products and services to help utility companies achieve their goals. We are not an IT company that asks the utility company to change and manage its work to match to constraints of a software product. We understand their needs, and we have designed our products to function as key tools that enable the utility to do more with less time, people and money with no adverse impact on their internal operations.

• DataStore™

  Paragon understands the foundation of good information is a good data source. We develop databases enabling utilities to centralize all project data in a consistent form and format and integrate the database with web service applications. This allows easy access and flexible reporting. This database can either be a stand alone system or integrated with the utility customer information system, we can host the database or deliver it to the client. The DataStore is designed to easily be integrated with the DashBoard for simple management reporting.

• DashBoard™

  Having good information is a first key step, being able to easily understand the impacts of that information and make real-time decisions is the next. Paragon has created the DashBoard as a graphical tool to easily monitor project performance. The DashBoard presents results formatted for executive management, project managers and implementation contractors. It allows users to track overall program performance or drill down to individual data elements. The DashBoard gives clients timely and actionable information.

• DataPro™

  Many utilities need a cost-effective and flexible system to track, approve and report on program applications. Paragon's DataPro module is intended to meet this need. It has the capability to permit program staff in multiple utility territories to enter program rebate application requests, have them automatically validated using customizable criteria, dynamically calculate applicable rebates and energy savings as defined for each program, permit the utility PM to approve/reject the requests, and generate reports for each individual program, the portfolio of programs at each utility and for the complete portfolio as a whole.

• DSPrime™

  For clients with smaller program portfolios, we have a simplified SaaS version of the DataStore, allowing users to handle data input as well as track and report for one or more programs. DSPrime also features an easy online sign up process for setting up program(s), tracking, and reporting, and it requires no licensing fees or long term recurring costs. • DataSiteRE™

  Renewable energy is becoming a more important part of a utility’s resource mix, however renewable resources can be more difficult to integrate. The DataSiteRE is a dedicated online repository for renewable energy information. Clients can see real-time performance as well as historical data. What makes this so unique is scalability. Coverage can range from a single city to an entire service territory or even statewide. Information can be presented as a summary overview or site by site details. Data can also be received from residential installations, commercial facilities or utility scale sites.

• ModelTRC™

  Every utility needs to be assured of cost effectiveness when making investments. ModelTRC can provide financial analysis for a number of standard tests including total resource, utility, participant, ratepayer impacts and societal benefits. ModelTRC contains a variety of models to handle different levels of detailed calculations and can be used on individual programs or entire portfolios.

• CustomApps™

  Paragon knows clients will have unique needs and that is why we offer specialized database and web application development for clients who have requirements beyond those offered in our existing products.
